Let us give Ken Arian a chance !

Weird “maniere de voir” by El Figaro in L’express of today; an analysis that looks beyond the swirl of events, against the dreary background of hubris, myopia , duplicity and cronyism ,to try to convince us not to deny the newly appointed ex-senior adviser at the PMO a chance to prove himself as super CEO of Airport Holdings.
A chance for our dear Ken ! What about the “deserving person”- the right person at the right place-who is fully qualified and has the required experience and skills for this job, are we giving him the chance ?
No , Sir, that’s not how functioning economic systems work ! A functioning well-governed economy, via its robust and proven institutions, has a more efficient way of allocating its resources than through “trial and error” and cronyism.
After what MK has gone through, can we really afford another episode of “trial and error”, just after having tried, without any turn for the better, with the latest of the many political nominees-the Prince of Bihar supported by our evergreen and all-knowing FS, “le sorcier” Mr Manraj.
What kind of a gospel is he preaching to us through these whimsical observations ?
True, that the FS has been around for quite a while now and he has the experience and may be the competence but on being “ le plus grand FS …” , there are many on both sides of the political spectrum who will point out to the treasure trove at the Ministry of Finance which is replete of not only achievements but also of a whole lot of failures that date back to the days of the FRN loan fiasco, the manipulation of the budget and debt figures, the NPF scam ,Public Finance Management (PFM) or PBB botched, Sobrinho,DTA deal, Blacklist.....u name it!
If the regime is losing its grip on the MK situation, it is not with such convoluted arguments devoid of substance that we will take this regime to task ?
