The political theater changes directors every few years, the script remains exactly the same- 𝐙𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐧 𝐤𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧
The Militant Socialist Movement (MSM) which took power following the December 2014 general elections accused the outgoing Mauritian Labour Party (PTr) government of deep-seated corruption, malpractices, institutional abuses, financial irregularities, cronyism and deeply irregular public contracts.
The high-profile state investigations which exposed extensive details of political corruption were :

The MSM framed its post-election agenda as a sweeping "nettoyage" (clean-up) of the country. The newly appointed Minister of Financial Services, Good Governance and Institutional Reforms, Roshi Bhadain, stated that the alliance had received a clear mandate from the public to "clean up" the state and eradicate past abuses.

Following the return to power of Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam's administration in late 2024, the new government launched an aggressive cleanup campaign via the newly empowered Financial Crimes Commission (FCC). This led to high-profile actions, including some arrests.
The most prominent scandals and corruption allegations uncovered by the the new Govt include:

LePep is watching with growing and raging cynicism to the political theatrics of an incoming government aggressively pursuing the alleged scandals of its predecessor—only for many high-profile cases to stall, result in acquittals, or end in prolonged legal battles—without any convictions whatsoever.
