On the brink of the abyss !

We are on the edge of a precipice into a very frightening abyss.(both politically and economically)
This regime has been steering our institutions into uncharted waters, into an unknown destination…and we may end up sinking into the abyss to rise no more-to ‘democraticide”
Our spin dictators , the mafiosi, at the helm of this country, have robbed our great traditions and institutions of their greatness, of our passion for fairness and impartiality, of our culture of discussion and tolerance, of our respect of our adversaries and our determination to frame policies for greater economic and social equity.
We have lost trust in our institutions - the foundation of our trust in our institutions is rooted in 53 years worth of nation building. It's gone before we could fully grasp what it was that happened, undermined and obliterated by the very custodians of our laws.
With these Mafiosis in power, our institutions have been crumbling under the weight of nepotism, cronyism,… of an ethical and governance deficit—yes, we have lost trust in our electoral system, trust in our governance, the rule of law , in economic management , especially in the police force - their brutality, their double standards, their servility to the powers of the day, their arrogance , their lack of civility , their abusive and excessive use of force, their low standards, their "noubanisme", their ……which have hit a new wave of distrust and hostility within the population …
“The song “Polico Crapo”, deemed “degrading” and “inappropriate” by the police, garnered some three million views…”
Our historian , J. Chan Low rightly points out that at the time of Mauritius' accession to Independence, the British understood the importance of the autonomy of the police and its CP as its fundamental principle, with great emphasis on the liaison between the law enforcement agency and the community which it served. “Unusually in the Commonwealth, CP is a constitutional post for precisely guaranteeing the independence of the police.”
If the latter becomes subservient to the politicians , bows down to 'political interference', to the pressures exerted on the police service, this creates difficulties for the various forces to do their duty and to maintain the morale of their staff and there develops a deep mistrust of the police with the public …
The problem with trust is that if it is broken, then all acts committed by the perpetrators come under the purview of suspicion….
Lindley Couronne, Director of Dis Moi “ Personne be croit plus en la police d’Anil Kumar Dip.”
But we have moved much beyond mere mistrust, beyond mere tolerance …we may already be in the abyss and we had better brace ourselves for the consequences…
My wife seems to have developed some kind of paranoia putting our house upside down frantically searching for "planted ""drogue et munitions" ( I do not know whether it is a chronic form of delusion or senile dementia, I'll have to check with the Striking Team which seems to be cause of all these phobias with their "nouvelle opération "mazik" for those ”ki koz ban kozé ki pa bizin kozé”.
