A PM who is prepared to stoop so low !

In the National Assembly yesterday , the leader of the opposition ,Xavier Duval, pointed out to Pravind Jugnauth that he should not have given the address of the mother of little S., who was admitted to the hospital after her stay in the shelter “ l'Oiseau du Paradis". When Xavier Duval asked him to apologize for having given the address and after the Prime Minister refused, the leader of the opposition repeated “I'm shocked” to which the PM answered“You are shocked? Al pran Xanax.”

We never thought that the debates in our National Assembly would have sunk to such historic lows !

He sends his police to arrest Bruno Laurette after the latter has made disturbing revelations on the sinking of the bulk carrier MV Wakashio and on the Special Striking Team and the assistant superintendent of police, Ashik Jagai: “Demain missié Jagai ki linn al fer ena 15 days dan Rivière-Noire? ..... and the same police is distributing all kinds of fake and contradictory information on Bruneau Laurette that are being published by certain newspapers.

..and the investigation into the drug seizure has not started yet, the police seems to be deliberately taking their time pretending that they are dealing first with the allegations of ICT Act violations against Bruneau Laurette when he is facing a provisional charge of drug trafficking.

Without any respect for the fundamental principle of presumption of innocence -that every person should be presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty- our mean and petty dictator brandished photos of Bruno Laurette with some opposition members…alleging to their proximity with “drug dealers in particular Bruneau Laurette, of Akil Bissessur and Ashish Dayal.”

One blogger has rightly pointed out

1. Were the photos authenticated with a signature and stamp?

2. ...tomorrow, if we photoshop Lady Mc Beth ,Chef de Lakwizinn, sitting on boxes of ti-Papié, will it be accepted by the Speaker?

Why doesn’t our shameless spin dictator talk about:

• his friends, the users of ti-papié !

• the mafiosis that have taken hold of all our main institutions

• the Wakashio event and drug mafia on the West coast

• what one parliamentarian has publicly said that “ Drug trafficking is flourishing since this prime minister took office. Not a single drug baron has been convicted."

• the fact that ““Plus de Rs 724 millions de stupéfiants saisis et zéro poursuite formelle en cour” which made the headlines recently in one newspaper.

Yes , it's being confirmed now that ‘ the Mafia State is an existential threat to each and every opponent of the regime, to independent critics and to whoever complains of injustice”
