'Rezistans ek Altemativ (ReA) has asked the three elected representatives of constituency No. 8, namely Pravind Jugnauth, Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun and Yogida Sawmynaden, to come and explain publicly that they have indeed nothing to do with the Kistnen Papers. On the the Electoral Commission’s letter sent to them on Friday concerning the 'Kistnen Papers', ReA confirmed that the case will be taken up by the police commissioner and that a police investigation will be initiated.
Ashok Subron expects that the investigation will be carried out under the best possible conditions for the police to analyze and decipher the information published in the press, as well as the questioning of the person who said he was the author of these Kistnen Papers and the verification, if needed, of all these information, whether is true or not. And he adds that ReA will let the police investigate, but reserve the right to take necessary actions. He also appealed to the population to keep calm and not fall into the communal traps and divisions laid by the state's emisiaries.
Taking up the slogan used by the ReA during the 2017 bye-elections in constituency N ° 18, Stefan Gua maintains that we have to be more active and vigilant than before so as to “na pa soutir pourritir” and appeals to progressive forces, citizens and others to contact them for “un nouvel elan national”. As for the invitation launched by the leader of the Labor Party to ReA to participate in a forthcoming rally against the government, ReA will be consulting its allies of the Konversasyon Solider movement and is keeping an open mind about it.
