I need to repeat my André Gide's quotation in the sense that we cannot see ourselves or judge ourselves the way we see and judge others. “The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity”
And to this question” Trouvez-vous normal qu'un député qui sera, vous venez de le confirmer, numéro trois du gouvernement PTr-MMM-ND, ne soit pas présent au meeting de l'alliance qui relance la campagne, ne serait-ce que dans la foule ?
He replied : “Non, je ne trouve pas cela nécessaire parce, tout d'abord, ce n'était pas ma circonscription et que je ne vois pas ce que ma présence dans la foule aurait apporté de plus aux messages des leaders et des autres orateurs....(contradictory comments for someone who aims to be the No. 3...)
U can see how his answers fit to André Gide’s quote !
Yes , Kamarad Shakeel, we are in 2024, and u are still harping on our tribalistic instincts , still preferring the comfort and refuge of your “circonscription” , your community, and derisorily still clinging to your “apartenance ethnique” to claim No 3 in the future Govt…..and we are sure L’express will be querying “Why not Asirvaden , Boolell or Anquetil or..... as No. 3 ? “
Sa mem ki PTR-MMM-ND appel “polltik de rupture”—-We have some doubts !
Ki kales kasé ReA finn entré ?
Eski li pas finn fer enn trop grand sacrifis pou zot capav désan sa rezim Jugnauth la ?
Eski “Kolektif Konversation Solider” was not a better alternative ?
Are they not going to use ReA to present themselves as an avant-gardiste party (which they are not, given their propensity for political authoritarianism, as well as an unwillingness for genuine reform), capitalising on the ideological fount of the ReA to project an idea of themselves through the prism of how the left has been traditionally viewed here- focussing on inequality, on meritocracy, good governance, the environment, workers rights and how to vest power in citizens rather than elites ?
Are we not going to be deceived once again with their combination ( especially the MMM) of left-wing rhetoric with mainly right-wing policies ?
And the fear that they will be delivering little in the way of reform!
Let’s watch out for their political manifestos which we hope will be much different from that of the MSM’s dream merchants !
