"Journalist and Journalus”

There are some of them who will not stop at anything to get some advantage over their competitors even if it means compromising on their ethical standards .
I do not know from where they dug up our dear friend, the ex-globe trotting Minister, who has bequeathed us with such wonderful pearls as “Government is Government and Government decides”, “Bizin enn Jugnauth pou roul sa pei la” and similar "stupidities" on the impact of higher crime rates on the tourism sector and on the question of meritocracy.

It was good riddance !!! But these "journalus n’importe" have given him a new lifeline ( they must be missing his pearls of “wisdom”) and without any “amour propre” , given that that he has yet to be cleared of the Vijaya Sumputh case, he arrogates himself the right to demand a commission of inquiry on the present scandal surrounding the procurement of medical and protective equipment by the STC.
“La boue pé moque la mare”
You do recall ,when the media was abounding then with caricatures and clips on some of the prevailing cases of cronyism: biscuit contracts, fish for the prisons, notary fees to the tune of millions, new radio licences, allocation of barachois, government advertising, millions for an IT company being sued by government, … you also had the case of our ex-minister en "mission permanent", who on the few occasions that he was transiting through Mauritius, was trying to justify the ‘scrumptious salary, expenses, and privileges extorted from the taxpayer’ to the “talented” Sumputh.
