La conference de presse du DPM

It was a one-way traffic because of the compliant chatwa zournalus
Li fer so propre éloges…mo fin chair sa, mo fin fer sa…mo mem chair commités lor corbeaux…mo mem ki fer tou dan Govt
Malgré sa Govt pé bouz fix, pé roule au ralenti !
Shame on our Zournalus ! Learn from the Indian journalists !
Take a leaf from them !
They would have really grilled him on the many committees he has chaired.
For e.g ,they would have questioned him on the black-out scare-kuma dir pé prépar terrain pou ban Corporates- Joe Lesjongard’s intervention on RadioPlus -Au coeur de L’info -parait plus rassuran. Nou fin vote zot pou aménn solution pa pou aménn problem. Powership on, Powership off…kumsa ki pou pran decisyons!
There is indeed a risk of load shedding but there're ways to manage it, if urgent measures are also taken-either powership or the installation of batteries and the implementation of photovoltaic projects with storage . That's what we want to hear !
They would have queried him on the “pagaille” à MTPA !
They would have challenged him on the Navarre-Marie-Babooram discord-“le PM fera ce qu’il faut prochainement “…transferring her to another Ministry !!!
Is that the solution ? No, the whole issue is that the role and function of Junior ministers have not been properly defined…They would have asked him ironically if he is prepared to chair an additional commitee on “the function of Junior ministers “
On the nomination of Joel Rault, they would have unmasked the big lie of the DPM; respectfully, but firmly they would have told him “ You are being untruthful , Sir !“
On Rodrigues, they would not have hesitated in reminding him to respect the autonomy of Rodrigues to the letter on certain crucial issues…” “Mind your own business, Sir, stop meddling into Rodrigues politics …Rodriguans do not like it from condescending Mauritians !” There are issues but these have to be tackled firmly but subduedly and with tact.
Contrary to our Zounalus chatwas, they would have tried to corner him on the concessions given to the Corporates in the Finance Bill ….fair share contribution concessions(not even for three years) while ti LePep bears a greater share of the burden of fiscal adjustment.
On the criticism of certain appointments and administrative delays, they would not have accepted so easily the excuse that the government's priorities were centred on the Budget and economic recovery.
They would have reacted by pointing out that the Budget exercise was carried out without proper consultations with the Ministries and LePep..( the Pension reform was not even discussed with the Minister of Social Security)
..the budget was a one-man show leaning heavily on the IMF recommendations …They would have not have missed out that during the past 8 months , Govt could have announced a mini budget, communicated with LePep and engaging them in discussions on the different pension reform options and the needed fiscal adjustment efforts . "Sir, u were too busy chairing committees and poking your nose in things that do not concern you ...to realise that to carry out meaningful reforms , u need effective communication and to be "lor terrain" with LePep.
On the cacophony at Air Mts, which the DPM has acknowledged, “Il a assuré avoir proposé des solutions au Premier ministre depuis plusieurs mois, notamment pour améliorer les dessertes régionales.” Which solutions !
To the whole useless bunch led by Beegoo, á la Trump , il nomme son gendre !
Ki gran paké li , avek so expérians HR à Rogers, pou capav kasé when the whole situation is rotten at Air Mts …
Ending by hitting the nail on its head, " How is the cohabitation with PMO's gang of five + , Sir "
This is how our Zournalus of the mettle of the great inquiring journalists would have confronted him with and rubbed his nose on the nominations bidons based on cronyism, nepotism and dynastic politics. Aprés mo tifi, mo fami ambassadrice and now mon gendre !
Viv Sanzman!

If Frederic Cure was called Fanindra , you can bet your bottom dollar that our "free and independent" press would be full of articles condemning nepotism today. Tomorrow, Josie would be having kittens pouring out her disgust about all things that smack of favours by politicians...
But as it is Missier Berenger, eh res trankil ein! So la main prop, so la tete haute, meme si souvan le tonkin bien sale...😉

An HR manager at Rogers Aviation, while there is a recent merger. Are public and private conglomerates "vases communicantes" to shuffle politically exposed cadres being "rationalised" in the M&A chess game?
The extent of state capture not just through DPM, usual scapegoat, is quite stunning, but at the very apex of PMO power concentration

He has an HR background. Why the media sells him as an aviation expert is quite comical

Sameer Sharma I was asking myself the same thing !!

Crony Appointments
Nomination of DPM’s son-in-law at Air Mauritius is emblematic of nepotism. Air Mauritius faces public backlash after operational chaos and allegations of favoritism.

My question is why PRB came out to state his views on some issues. It looks like he does not agree with government approach in some areas. He could have said so internally and probably he did. He realized that people are impatient over the pace of change and he wanted to say he heard them. But the fundamental problem is the concentration of powers in the PMO that is slowing down things while it looks only in one direction. It would be a pity if this government did not succeed because the alternative is worse. There is still time to change course.

Très Bonne reflection. Vraiment des journalists chatwas qui fait honte à notre république.
