Hats off to Kugan, Raviraj and Véronique !

We want to show our appreciation to Kugan Parapen, Raviraj Beechook and Véronique Leu-Govind on their stand that the elected representatives must set the example.
La parole à Veronique “ Si nous parlons de justice, d'austérité et de responsabilité budgétaire, alors le sacrifice doit venir de tous, y compris des parlementaires »,
The junior minister called on her fellow parliamentarians to set an example by agreeing to a review of their privileges. The MP stressed the importance of a commitment to solidarity in order to overcome the economic challenges and restore social equity.
"I hear the street, I understand the people. If I have to sacrifice my salary to suffer with the people, I will do it with cheerfulness of heart, but it only commits me, “said Labour MP Raviraj Beechook .
Kugan Parapen said he felt it was time for parliamentarians to set an example in the face of the sacrifices demanded from the population.
« Je trouve difficile de demander à un travailleur touchant le salaire minimal de sacrifier quelques années supplémentaires de sa vie pour notre pays alors que nos privilèges demeurent intacts », a-t-il affirmé.
The Junior Minister proposed setting up a committee to consider a review of the benefits granted to MPs for e.g-review the arrangements for duty-free cars and per diems for trips abroad ..
We are proud of our young Turks , sa sey le Sanzman we has asked for, among others

Kugan Parapen delivered an excellent speech on the budget. I think he should have been junior minister of Finance as he has a clear vision of major economic issues. His empathy for the working class is noteworthy. His appeal to government to curb privileges in the public sector is sincere.

You do not even need to review perdiems. All you need to do is issue corporate credit cards and have all users show receipts and justifications for expenses when back home before card bill is cleared. You will see a massive drop in govt perdiem expenses. Believe me
Also bigger picture we need to get a combo of base salary plus performance bonuses with claw back provisions linked to clearly defined KPIs for all nominees and especially all ministers.
Take sbm. 70 pc of the pat package should be made in sbm stocks with claw back. If they are so good these nominees then they can make more money as stocks go up.
