They tell us that they are taking action, that they have already penalised some 500 traders , that they will confiscate their trade licences....and so and so...
Meanwhile we continue being exploited by our local traders ..
Govt did take the responsibility of providing some basic provisions to the needy on the social register and ensure the delivery of pensions at home, why is it that government is washing its hands off while we are being fleeced ?

Government could have imposed some price control on most of the essential food items and the setting up of Agricultural Marketing Board centres all over the island to combat hoarding and speculation and thus ensuring the availability and distribution of these essential food items. Exceptional situations need exceptional actions.
As one friend has pointed out , AMB and other big suppliers which have storage capacity could have purchased vegetables and other essential supplies from a centralised depot managed and regulated by government.
And small sellers in all that !!! they are being starved of supplies , the very traders where the poor can buy on credit ?
Is Govt in connivance with the big businesses ? Who cares, that with such an unplanned confinement, the poor has to fend for themselves !!!
