The traditional yearly Grand Bassin show has started !!!

Cry beloved pilgrims !!!
Ban là pa pé prié dan Grand Bassin , zot pé fer enn show, the traditional yearly Grand Bassin show.
When you are praying or meditating, whether individually or collectively, it’s private , it’s discreet , it is not a "tamtam" with the useless, tedious MBC TV coverage ( a complete waste of taxpayers' money) and the display of politicians and fawning socio-cultural groups.
Pas zis dan politik ki bizin met propre, bizin nettoye Grand Bassin de tou sa ban politicians, task force, socio-cultural nimporte, Voice of Hindu, Sanathan... ek so toadying Dultaman etc,
As i wrote last year, it has become more urgent now.
"Grand Bassin also needs its “politique de rupture” - a rupture from all the unsavoury gimmicks. Grand Bassin should be a place where the faithful can attend spiritual lectures, people can all sit down and meditate silently or do the round of the spiritual stands. The festival should be a congregation of devotees from all religions, not a circus, a riot of loud music- earth shattering remixes perturbing other pilgrims or the neighborhood - chaotic exuberance, unbridled crowd encroaching on the rights of others, disturbing people in the middle of the night, causing disruptions to the traffic and feeling shamelessly proud of their rowdy behaviour. "
We should aim at making Ganga Talao a truly pious place, if not divine, quietly religious, dignified and serene that brings forth a wellspring of devotional fervour and sends the spiritual message to the faithful that is deep and profound and gives him the true meaning of religion and spirituality that is being comprehensively eclipsed in the present Grand Bassin show.
It is the place of pilgrimage, the genuine NGOs, the fervour of the pilgrims and spiritual organisations, the solidarity and solace provided by all communities to the pilgrims- a vivid example of the familial bonds of the five fingers of our Mauritian overpowering fist of unity- it’s all these that give meaning and depth to the celebration of the Shivatree festival.
The celebration has been hijacked by the politicians, the priests and socio-cultural groups that have a foot in politics, the MBC TV and the other chatwas. They have deprived it of its essence-the celebration of the union of matter and consciousness, the coming together of the subtle and the gross world.
Their show in on ! Watch out how they take on the garb of pseudo-preachers , whipping up our emotions, invoking the Ramayana epic, shrewdly picking out the juicy parts of the Rama and Ravana conflict-Good v/s Evil- to fit in their claims of the so-called attempts at undermining the great Hindu EKTA-Hindu Unity ! (sic)
For the sublime or the devotee-that which is peaceful, auspicious, innocent- Maha Shivratree –the celebration of the wakefulness of one's universal consciousness is not in anyway sectarian but universal- the unity of the human race. It is too sad that we are allowing moral relativism cloaked in jargon, to be on the march again, promoted by these harmful and hurtful , despicable part-time godmen,part-time cronies, the fake spiritual guardians backed by the corrupt politicians.
We have to restore to Grand Bassin the sacredness and religiosity that it deserves.
Bizin met propre....zot finn hijack nu Grand Bassin; they have converted the sanctity and serenity of Grand Bassin into a public forum-a bazaar- to serve their political ends.
