Quel Gâchis !!!

On the eve of the recent polls, the Director of the MBC had to resign because of his failure to get the better of his glib tongue that went on chattering and ultimately , as to be expected, spilled over onto too offensive terrain- considered too risky for the harmony of our rainbow nation but not that irrecuperable not to be appointed as consultant for the same MBC.

Now he, who unashamedly, once upon a time, castigated the "Mbaissées" as “serpents” is back at the helm while the former DG who wanted to “make MBC great again" is kicked out and positioned elsewhere to complete his more realisable goal of making something great for himself rather than the institution.
Whatever the scenarios, whoever the DG, MBC remains the government’s lapdog par excellence, and the DG is there to ensure that it stays overbearingly and irritatingly servile to the masters of the day.

Elsewhere it is no better, at AIR MAURITIUS, the blue eyed boy of "la Kwizinn" is ushered in to drive out the CEO . We are not so sure about his competence but we are more or less certain that he will not miss the opportunity to upgrade other traveling cronies to business class at the cost of the taxpayer.( Govt has to bear the cost of a failing Air Mauritius like in the case of the hedging fiasco of the Mansoor-Sithanen tandem). And they expect Air Mauritius to start showing some regular meaningful profits!
Moreover, do you really believe that these people can reduce recurrent government expenditure by 10% through austerity measures when they cannot even bear the cost of an upgrade to business class ? What kind of an example are they giving to the population !!! Reduce expenditure" lor petard/ fire crackers" !!! Is this a joke ?
At the BANK OF MAURITIUS, technocrats give way to cronies from the lower divisions. Among the latter , the very ones, the former Chairman and Chief Executive of the FSC should at least be hanging their heads in shame for their ineptness and incompetence that landed Mauritius on the grey list and above all, which is unacceptable, being blamed for failing to conduct parallel investigations of both the money laundering offence and the predicate offence, whether arising from drug crime, tax evasion, corruption or other serious offences and for failing to supervise the non-financial sectors, especially of casinos, bookmakers and gambling activities, to combat money laundering.
THEY HAVE THUS UNDERMININED THE FIGHT AGAINST DRUG CRIME AND TRAFFICKING. We need not comment on gambling and the gamblers ! YOU KNOW THE INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN UN "CERTAIN" GAMBLER AND "CERTAINS" OF THIS REGIME.
Other instuitions are suffering the same fate- the latest is the PSC -a total absence of good governance that is consensus-oriented, accountable, transparent, effective and efficient, inclusive and follows the rule of law.
And to crown it all, we have the Speaker qui fait son cinema du mauvais gôut!
To those 37% who supported this regime and wrote to us to admonish us for being “mauvais perdants” , I reply now that , you, among the 37% who voted for this regime and , me , among the 63 %, who rejected it, we did not bargain for this mess. Did We !!!
Quel Gâchis !!!
